Basic ANM
The most common type of GNM is the basic GNM. Post Basic ANM
Candidates in the post basic GNM or post basic BSc Nursing explore advanced knowledge. This knowledge is rendered via classroom along with educational visits and clinical teachings. There is a good scope of post basic GNM. Candidates can get jobs at nursing educational institutions, clinics, public health centres, etc. The duration of the basic version of this course lasts for 3 years, whereas the regular version of this course lasts for 2 years.
Distance ANM
Since GNM or General Nursing and Midwifery is a highly technical profession there is very limited scope for distance learning. Students must be wary of colleges providing GNM in distance mode.
