Basic ANM
The most common type of GNM is the basic GNM. Post Basic ANM

There is a good scope of post basic GNM. Candidates can get jobs at nursing educational institutions, clinics, public health centres, etc. The duration of the basic version of this course lasts for 3 years, whereas the regular version of this course lasts for 2 years.
Distance ANM
Since GNM or General Nursing and Midwifery is a highly technical profession there is very limited scope for distance learning. Students must be wary of colleges providing GNM in distance mode.
